Villa Accommodations

Spacious, cool and inviting, this luxuriously restored villa, located near the picturesque village of Gordes, retains many original 18th century features, including old stone walls and beamed ceilings, yet is completely updated to include sumptuous bedrooms with stylishly modern bathrooms, a professionally equipped kitchen, central air conditioning and high-speed Internet access.

The Exterior

The villa is completely enclosed within stone walls. Its beautifully tranquil gardens spill over with beds of roses, lavender, rosemary and sage and accented with cypress, olive and fruit trees. Two fountains and a lily pond add to the peaceful scene.

Set away from the house and surrounded by a low stone wall is a sparkling blue swimming pool with plenty of nap-inducing lounge chairs.

In the midst of the gardens is an outdoor kitchen and a covered terrace for dining al fresco.

The Interior

The villa has been decorated in lovely soft Provençal colors. Traditional architectural features such as old wood and plaster ceilings, stone fireplaces and stone floors complement a stylish combination of contemporary furnishings and unique antique pieces.

On the ground floor, there is an elegant living room, a comfortable den and a beautiful solarium with large framed glass windows and doors leading to the gardens. The dining room with a large antique wood table and chairs seats twelve. And the open and airy French country kitchen with its long wood island table is the perfect place for a leisurely breakfast as well as our cooking class.

The Bedrooms

There are six bedrooms, all upstairs and each with a full private bathroom, individual climate control and wonderful village, gardens or Luberon mountain views. Each room is beautifully decorated in a Provençal style that’s accented with French antique pieces. Luxurious beds are fitted with Frette linens and topped with fluffy down duvets. Four bedrooms have king beds; one bedroom has two queen beds and one bedroom has two queens and a single bed.
